Dr. Rodriguez is a graduate of the University of Nevada, School of Medicine. His postgraduate residency training was performed at the University of Colorado, Denver, Colorado; Methodist Medical Center, Dallas, Texas; and the University of Missouri/ Kansas City. Dr. Rodriguez was first certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine in 1992 and by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1997. He was 2008 -2009 President of the Rocky Mountain Association of Plastic Surgeons. In 2005, Governor Guinn appointed Dr. Rodriguez to serve as one of the six physician members of the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners. Governor Gibbons reappointed him to the Board in 2009. In 2008 he was elected Vice President of the Board. From 2011 to 2013 he served as President of the Board. Clark County Medical Society name him Harold Feikes Memorial Physician of the Year for 2008. Nevada Business magazine and Channel 13 honored him as a Health Care Hero for southern Nevada. He was honored in Washington, DC with the Jefferson Award in 2010. The University of Nevada recognized Dr Rodriguez with the Professional Achievement Award. Brigham Young University gave him the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2012.

Dr. Rodriguez specializes in aesthetic plastic surgery. His emphasis is on facial plastic surgery, minimal incision (endoscopic) surgery, laser/skin resurfacing, breast surgery, liposuction, body sculpting and lifts, and fractional skin resurfacing.
Dr. Rodriguez has worked or trained in a number of international locations and in many of the fine institutions throughout the United States. In his medical career he has seen or treated in excess of 80,000 patients. Many hours each year are spent in continuing medical education to bring his patients the latest advances in the field of plastic surgery. Although requests for cosmetic procedures occupy most of his professional time, another great satisfaction for Dr. Rodriguez comes from sharing his skill and knowledge of reconstructive procedures. Each year he donates his time traveling to Third World and war-torn countries to operate on the less fortunate who otherwise have no opportunities to have their physical deformities corrected. In 2007 he taught, assisted colleagues, and performed surgery in China, Bolivia, and Russia. In 2008 he did the same in India, Bolivia, and Egypt. 2009 has taken him to Jordan, Vietnam, and Kenya.
